RSS Feeds Good Or Bad?

you.jpgI use RSS feeds all the time but I just started thinking that its taking visitors away from my site, yes their reading my feeds but their not looking at my site, and for some reason this is annoying me now I’ve thought about it I could make the RSS feed short so they have to come to my site to read the rest but will that not push people away completely?

And you can’t place and adsense adverts in your feeds, which is the main reason why we are here.

So I think the only solution is to start a campaign about this, it is possible to make dynamic images, but why isn’t anyone doing this it could revolutionise the web as we know it.

So I’m calling up on all you bloggers out their to blog about this matter WE NEED RSS ADVERTS, so that we don’t involve the tax man as much!

There are wordpress plugins out there to display adverts in the feeds, i’m sure. But i havent heard of any “context advertising for RSS” :)

Its a never ending debate about whether to publish full feeds or not… on one hand, full feeds make things easy for the reader, on the other, ppl don’t see your ads.

Still, i think (at least for a start), user experience is more important.

You don’t see A List blogs having partial feeds, do we?

    Experience comes first!

for the full feeds and short feeds I think of it this way, customer comes first its a old fashioned way to look at it but it has to be true its the best way to get visitors so put your self in the customers shoes :D

RSS feeds are very handy, great way of getting traffic to your site, and very little in the way of negatives, keep your short feeds at about 100-200 characters, and make the first but juicy.
    Reel them in.
